The 2024 Wilson Disease Association Annual Conference will be held in Charlotte, NC at the Canopy by Hilton on October 4-6.
After five years, we are excited to bring this program to you in person! This event will bring together the incredible Wilson disease community for a day filled with learning and relationship building. The Annual Conference is an opportunity for people living with Wilson disease and their families to come together, often for the first time, to gain practical knowledge on how to manage their health and live their best quality of life possible.
The “Onward and Upward” theme embodies the spirit of resilience and determination that defines the Wilson disease community. Good to know:
What is the Sunday breakfast meet-up?
SESSION IS FULL! WE APPRECIATE THE INTEREST IN THIS NEW OPPORTUNITY.
Another reason to register early: this year, we are introducing Sunday breakfast meet-ups. These voluntary gatherings offer an opportunity to interact with our valued industry partners. The aim is to gather insights from diverse experiences, whether as a patient or caregiver, to inform clinical trial design and the understanding of new therapies. Breakfast is on us and as a token of our gratitude for your input, a $100 gift card will be given to participants. Space is limited to 50 people, so timely registration is advised.
Friday and Saturday night features
As in past in-person conferences, the weekend will kick off with a Friday night meet and greet reception. This year’s Saturday night dinner will take place off-site at nearby Legion Brewery showcasing food with a Southern flair! Shuttle service will be provided.
What is the agenda for Saturday’s full day of learning?
Preliminary topics range from emerging diagnostic tools and novel therapies to WD perspectives from a hepatologist, neurologist and psychiatrist, and gene therapy 101 and clinical trial participation to getting your medication and navigating a low copper diet. The agenda is designed to give you the most up-to-date information and equip you to live well with Wilson disease. Click here for final Speakers and Topics agenda.
